The Band

THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS hit the world with their first, and highly praised, 'Perfect Day/Lovestruck' (Kite Recordings) single in April 2003. The reputation rose constantly due to the groups high class songs and performances.

In July 2004 Little Teddy Recordings issued the EP 'There is a Town'. The same year the group released the 'Lovestruck' EP (The Beautiful Music) in Canada. At the end of the year the group returned to the studio to record their first album, titled 'Always the Same' (Little Teddy, 2005), including guest appeareances from Richard Lloyd (Television) and Bjöern Olsson (ex-Soundtrack Of Our Lives).

In the beginning of 2008 The Higher Elevations were back with their 2nd album 'The Protestant Work Ethic'. They recruited a new lead guitarist, Martin Oestlund (ex- Cheval Route), and also the ambitious and always on the go musician Mads Husvik (The Carnation, The Nuggets,The Basement Brats) to play the organ parts on a couple of songs.
